Quick question, I have a girlfriend with MS and she is getting a lot of pain down her arm but as it is nerve pain she cant seem to find anything that works to help stop it....can you suggest anything??

Hi Melissa,
We have had several clients with Multiple Sclerosis who have found our Achy Breaky Rub http://www.moonhaven.com.a?u/store/quickorder/salve-a?chybreakyrub.html very helpful.
Even though the pain is primarily nerve pain through the demyelation of the affected nerves, our clients have found the Achy Breaky of assistance. While it will not 'cure' the MS (I wish) it should help with diminishing the pain.
Of course in the unlikely event that your friend finds that the Achy Breaky does not help her with the pain then we will happily and unconditionally refund her the purchase price of the rub.

What is MS?
Multiple Sclerosis is a chronic, often disabling disease that randomly attacks the central nervous system (brain and spinal cord). The progress, severity and specific symptoms of the disease cannot be predicted; symptoms may range from tingling and numbness to paralysis and blindness. MS is a devastating disease because people live with its unpredictable physical and emotional effects for the rest of their lives.

What are the Symptoms?
Symptoms of MS are unpredictable and vary greatly from person to person and from time to time in the same person. They may include: extreme tiredness (fatigue), impaired vision, loss of balance and muscle coordination, slurred speech, tremors, stiffness, bladder and bowel problems, difficulty walking, short-term memory loss, mood swings and, in severe cases, partial or complete paralysis.

What causes MS?
Symptoms result when inflammation and breakdown occur in myelin, the protective insulation surrounding the nerve fibres of the central nervous system (brain and spinal cord). Myelin is destroyed and replaced by scars of hardened "sclerotic" patches of tissue. Such lesions are called "plaques," and appear in "multiple" places within the central nervous system. This can be compared to a loss of insulating material around an electrical wire, which interferes with the transmission of signals.

No Place Like Gnome

Gnomesville- a discovery like no other!

Don't you love the quirky way that Aussies think?

It all started with a round about where the locals thought a roundabout was a bit of overkill. 
You see the council decided to put in a grand round about  at the corner of Wellington Mill and Ferguson Rd, east of Dardanup.
Now this wasn't a highway crossroad, or even a major road but a back road intersection... so one of the locals...being a bit of a wag, placed a plaster gnome in the centre of the roundabout in protest.
Soon more gnomes joined in the demonstration... a footy team of gnomes took up residence (they played cricket in summer) -this attracted more gnomes to the area and soon the round-about was covered. 
The council had a fight on its hands... a gnome revolution to be exact!

As the gnome population grew - so did the number of drivers who had to pull over to investigate- with driver distraction and the possibility of accidents increasing daily the decision was made to move the gnomes to adjacent land where people could stop safely to visit.
And so Gnomesville was born.

  Now a days with a Gnome population numbering in the many hundreds - if not thousands-  Gnomesville is certainly a must visit destination.

 We visited Gnomesville last month during my birthday weekend for the first time.
I was absolutely blown away by the whole idea of Gnomesville.  The humour, inventiveness a sense of fun was so very evident.
My favourites were the Pilot Gnome and off course having a medical bent myself the Triage section of the little village.

Secret Squirrel Product Development- Update

With Chris away on holidays in the snow - development of the new product range has been left in Laura's capable hands.

Laura has been busy trialling and testing ....sneaking mysterious boxes of goodies home for obvious up close and personal trials.

 I still don't know what the finished products are...but I have been assured it is fun and everyone will love them when the range is ready for unveiling... sounds interesting!

What has me most perplexed though, is the recent request for ...BODY GLITTER!!!!
This is certainly going to be interesting!
Farewell Kerryn
After seven and half very full years at Moon Haven, our very wonderful Kezza is moving on from Moon Haven to experience new and exciting adventures. 
Kerryn has been a wonderful member of the Moon Haven crew - often stepping in to fill the gaps when Eric and I have been occupied elsewhere- such as when Eric was first diagnosed with Carcinoid Cancer and we spent weeks away in Perth getting treatment. 
Kerryn - we'll miss you dearly and so will the many Moon Haven customers who have come to know and love you over the years.
At least you will still be living  in the area-  so we expect many visits (with cake) around morning tea time!

So that's all for this edition of the Moon Haven News. Hopefully Chris and Laura will be nearly ready to unveil their secret next time and I will be revealing some interesting information on the use of antibacterial products in the home and their long term effect on our health.
