At Moon-Haven we strive to formulate products that not only do what we want them to do, are made from quality, real ingredients that enrich your hair, skin or body but also are naturally sensible to use.

You will not find any Sodium Lauryl Sulfate or Sodium Laureth Sulfate in our products -just because they are too harsh on your skin. (Contrary to mailcious email gossip they do not cause cancer- read this article by the American Cancer Society )

When journeying into the world of Surf-act-ants (Surface Acting Agents - ie detergents of which soap is a very simple example) ... we have done our research.

Our criteria for surfactants in our products include:

Derived from natural sources - sugars, vegetable oils etc. Of course some of these have been mightily refined to make them suitable for human use ...no one would really choose to smear unrefined palm oil on their bodies when they were looking for bubbles!

That they be mild, yet effective for the job they have been selected for.

They are easy to apply and use - and still provide good lathering qualities.

Our range of hair care products are formulated to include nutrient-rich botanical complexes which impart natural conditioning qualities to your hair. Feedback on each has been amazing!

Formulated with pure silk, luxurious jojoba and castor oils, this quality shampoo bar is gentle yet cleansing on your hair. For great results rub the shampoo bar over your wet hair a few times, wet again and lather up. Rinse away and apply one of Moon-Haven's Moisturising Hair Conditioners. For the very sensitive or those not wanting to use a moisturising conditioner why not use a Vinegar Rinse? Vinegar Rinse Combine 1 part vinegar to 3 parts water- we make enough to last several weeks and keep it in the shower in a plastic squirty bottle for ease of application). Rinse hair and voila beautiful clean silky hair.
